David Adamson, MD, FRCSC, FACOG, FACS
Dr Adamson is Adjunct Clinical Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine and Associate Clinical Professor at University of California San Francisco School of Medicine. He is Past President of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology, AAGL, the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society, Society for Reproductive Surgeons, San Francisco Gynecological Society, Peninsula Gynecologic Society and Past Chair of the National Coalition Overseeing ART. Currently he is Chair of the FIGO Reproductive Medicine Committee, President of the World Endometriosis Research Foundation, Secretary-treasurer of ICMART and on the Board of the International Federation of Fertility Societies. He is a member of the American Gynecological and Obstetrical Society, the Society for Gynecological Investigation and the Society of Gynecological Surgeons, among many other national and international professional societies. Dr Adamson has served as an adviser to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institutes of Health and other professional and industry organizations, and frequently consults with the media. Dr Adamson has published over 200 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and textbooks, and presented lectures extensively on reproductive medicine and surgery, endometriosis, the assisted reproductive technologies, infertility and outcomes assessment nationally and internationally. He served on the Board and Executive of National Resolve, the national
consumer fertility organization, for 10 years. He has been listed in Who’s
Who in America since 1990 and recognized by Good Housekeeping magazine as
one of the best 400 physicians for women in America. In 2007 he received the
Santa Clara County Medical Association Outstanding Achievement in Medicine
Award and a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition for outstanding
and invaluable service to the community. In 1997 Dr Adamson founded Advanced
Reproductive Care, Inc., a national network reproductive medicine company
dedicated to increasing the value of medical care through innovative
clinical and financial programs, information technology, clinical research
and outcomes assessment. He has served as its CEO and Chairman since that
time. The network’s physician members are now in 40 states and currently
provide approximately one-third of the in vitro fertilization services in
the United States. |
