Dr Seung Chik Jwa is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, reproductive medicine, and clinical genetics in Japan. He graduated with an MD from Chiba University, Faculty of Medicine, Chiba, Japan in 2006, and completed the OB-GYN residency program at National Center for Child Health and Development, Tokyo, Japan in 2011. He was awarded his PhD from Chiba University, Department of Public Health in 2014 for his work on maternal socioeconomic status and blood pressure change during pregnancy. During his PhD period, he completed MPH program at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2012-2013 to learn intensively about statistical and epidemiological methods. After completing his PhD, he started to learn reproductive endocrinology and conducted his research using the Japanese national assisted reproductive technology (ART) registry. From 2017, he was affiliated with Saitama Medical University, Saitama, Japan, and was promoted to an associate professor in 2021. Currently, his research interest includes the public health perspective of ART and clinical research evaluating the effectiveness of ART techniques.
